Organic Breakfast

Here at Mt. Eustis Inn our guests start their day with a complete three course organic breakfast made with locally produced products where possible, including a fresh-fruit cup, fresh-baked sweet breads, coffee cake or muffins, yogurt, homemade bread for toasting, a variety of juices and of course a special hot entrée…different every day. Organic coffee and tea are freshly brewed and breakfast is served in our dining room at individual tables or tables can be grouped if preferred.

We are working toward becoming more self-sustainable and hope to offer our own garden herbs and vegetables and apples with delicious fresh pressed apple cider. Our biggest challenge is the wildlife…they love fruits and vegetables, too!

We serve free-range eggs and by this fall they will be provided by our own organic raised hens. We are raising a small number of a heritage breed that are exceptional egg-layers (no roosters!); Wyandotte. The “girls” love to range freely and do what hens love to do most…scratch and peck. A back yard flock is such fun and I hope you check out our blog for stories about raising chickens.

All of our meats are either organic certified or have no antibiotics, no hormones, no synthetic fertilizer, no GMO feed, and is unprocessed and great tasting…and of course they are raised humanely.

We believe that a traditional diet is a nutritional diet so we make our own yogurt, our own buttermilk and sour cream; we soak our grains in our own homemade whey and make our own butter when we can. Our milk and cream is local, fresh and delicious.

We will cater (whenever we can) to any dietary needs a guest traveling to Littleton may have so please let us know at the time of the reservation about your dietary restrictions so that we may shop accordingly.
